Regional Leadership Strategy in Accelerating the Handling of COVID-19 in Indonesia: A Case Study in DKI Jakarta Province, East Java, Central Java, South Sulawesi and West Java)


 Currently, the world in general and Indonesia particular are being hit by COVID-19 pandemic. As highest leader at provincial level, governor has a big role handling COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to examine leadership strategy regional heads Indonesia. sample consisted 5 provinces with largest positive cases Indonesia, namely DKI Jakarta, East Java, Central South Sulawesi West Java. A qualitative approach used descriptive analysis techniques. Secondary data techniques included literature study. results indicated that 1) governors Java have implemented same strategy, forming task force, establishing state emergency setting regulations accelerate 2) number additional five still shows an increase on average. 3) recovered patients 4) who died showed fluctuation.
